I will be the first to tell you that I don’t believe in magic bullet flies – flies that you tie on and start bailing fish. This pattern is the closest I’ve found to being the exception.

This time I'm tying a great attractor fly, the Partridge and Flash Wet Fly. I've been fishing wets a lot lately so that's what I've been tying lately and I'm passing some of those on to you.

This is a fly I picked up from a guide friend of ours, Tom Doman of Penns Creek Guide Service, for fishing the Little Black Stone Fly and Grannom hatches which come off at the same time.

Here is another traditional wet fly, the Quill Gordon. This is a great spring hatch here in our region and this is a great pattern to match it. Also it's a very simple pattern to tie.
